- We Got a Used Car
Welp. We’ve been dealing with the aftermath of our car being destroyed for over a week now. It’s been emotionally draining and physically exhausting. I never really knew how much a vehicle would mean to me, until now. The whole situation has been frustrating with the lack of resolution and accountability. Our lienholder has been dicking us around, so the car is STILL on the lawn. A constant reminder that we’ve had our lives violated. It sucks. The good news, however, is that our Gofundme was very successful and the funds helped us to buy a used car. It’s a 2010 Dodge Journey with a lot of miles and some things that need fixing, but she runs. Which is all we can ask at this point. Thank you to all who helped us get up and running so fast. In comics news, I managed to squeeze out a 6-page script for an anthology in the midst of dealing with this chaos. I’m happy I was able to get it together enough to do so. This is the first anthology I’ve submitted to that asks for the script to be written first. Usually, I’ve only had submission guidelines that ask for the pitch. It’s been an interesting experience. I’m teaming up with my good friend Harrison Webb again for this one. The anthology is horror based and I LOVE Harrison’s creepy artwork. It is PERFECT for this story. Fingers crossed we get accepted. It’s been a while since I’ve submitted to an anthology. Life has been crazy, but maybe I start making anthologies a priority again. Let me know in the comments if y’all have any recommendations!
- Our Car Got Totaled!
So this is a hard one to write. Last night at around 2am, a drunk driver crashed into our parked car and completely destroyed it. This guy hit our car SO hard that the back tire and axle were torn right off. It was a nightmare. We are doing the best we can, but I gotta be honest, this really sucks. This car was our only transportation and what we use to get our kid on the weekends. Sadly, the guy didn’t have insurance and our situation doesn’t look like it’s going to cover the damage at all. We’ll probably be starting a Gofundme soon. Just really tired of the world beating us down. In the meantime, my husband is running a commission sale to help us raise some funds to deal with tow trucks and everything else. Got check it out here. Stay safe out there lovelies.

Welcome to my humble little comics site. I’m compiling all my comics together in my shop and I’m looking forward to adding more! I’ll also be posting updates as they come. I’ve started working on some more stories and have been feeling re-invigorated. I’ve got a couple of things in the fire and I hope to be able to share them with you soon. In the meantime, check out the shop and read a few comics!
