Welcome to Tea Goblin Cafe’s newsletter! I provide a list of comic anthologies/publishers currently accepting submissions and comic conventions with open applications. If there are comics anthologies or comic conventions that you’d like me to add to the list, send them my way! Thanks! 🙂

A bit of a quiet week so far. A couple of new anthologies have opened up and a sprinkling of cons. Check the spreadsheets for everything still open and accepting submissions. Also, I’m going to start to include the states in on the con lists below so you know where these cons are. Little by little! 🙂

NEW! Jes Jess Press – Sick Freaks Magazine This will be Issue 2 with a focus on horror. They are looking for work by marginalized artists (preference for Baltimore/DMV based). Black and white comics between 2-4 pages. Original creator owned stories. Deadline March 14th.

NEW! Synergy Surge Zine – Dispatch Fanzine – Synergy Surge Looking for stories focusing on platonic pairings of the Z-Team with their synergy together on missions or iconic bonding after long shifts. This zine needs artists, writers, merch artists, and spot artists. Deadline March 14th.

ENDING SOON! Dead Ducks Zine – Murder Mystery Zine They are looking for golden age crime stories set in 1930’s British holiday resort. You may apply as a writer OR an artist. Can not be both. Deadline Feb 20th.

ThirdBear Press – BOXES Comic Magazine Vol 5 (UK creators ONLY) Deadline Feb. 28th.

Simple But Complex – Twisted History Anthology This anthology is looking for you to take a real historical moment, figure, or era and reinterpret it through a supernatural, mythical, or eerie lens. Deadline March 2nd.

Wild Ramp Publishing – Wild Ramp Review of Books Zine Looking for comic zines about book reviews. Deadline March 31st, 2026

Tusen Serier – ParaVox Vols 1 – 4 Looking for comics for several issues. (Anti)Racism – Deadline April 5th, Snitch Society/ Angiverisamhallets Baksidor – Deadline May 5th, Misinformation – Deadline July 5th

Lesser Known Comics – Lesser Known Comics Zine Looking for 1-8 page stories in black and white. Rolling deadline.

Diskette Press – Comics and Zines Looking for comics and zines from queer creators. They have a rolling deadline, but get your submissions in soon.

Mad Cave Studios – Pitch submissions They are looking for creator-owned original comics/graphic novels.

Oak Tree Comics – Open Submissions – Young Reader and Middle Aged Picture books or graphic novels.

Fantasy Zines – Vol 1 Astronomica Charity Zine An OC zine with a celestial theme.

The Rumpus – Ongoing Submissions Looking for unpublished comics.

Oh Joy Sex Toy – Creator Owned Comics Original creator owned stories 4-5 pages. Educational, autobiographical, pornographic, review a sex toy, etc. Please review their submission guidelines before you submit.

Bird’s Eye Comics – The Bebop Anthology Is an ongoing comic anthology.

Moom Comics – Open Call Completed Comics They are looking for comic stories of 60 pages or more featuring queer main characters or queer experiences.

Afterlight Comics – Accepting horror comics pitches They are looking for short 22 page stories and limited mini series or OGNs. Creator owned only.
