Day job has been super busy. But this week was quiet for comic opportunities. A couple of calls for submissions on magazines are open. And I’m not seeing a lot of cons opening just yet. There are a few that are about to and a lot still have applications going on. So check the spreadsheet to see all the cons that are still open. I might switch the updates to be twice a month instead of every week. Let me know your thoughts in the comments about that. Stay sassy out there!

NEW! The School Magazine – Serial Comics for 2027 Submissions are open for a 10-part comics series for kids ages 7-12. – Deadline May 7th
NEW! McCaul Mag – Dreams Issue They are looking for short stories, poems, essays, screenplays, and comics that fit the theme of Dreams. – Deadline May 31st

Stacked Deck Press – Death Saves 3rd Edition Anthology They are looking for stories about your favorite character deaths. From RPGs from a wide variety of genres such as fantasy, science fiction, superhero, and more.
Lesser Known Comics – Lesser Known Comics Zine Looking for 1-8 page stories in black and white. Rolling deadline.
Diskette Press – Comics and Zines Looking for comics and zines from queer creators. They have a rolling deadline, but get your submissions in soon.
Mad Cave Studios – Pitch submissions They are looking for creator-owned original comics/graphic novels.
Oak Tree Comics – Open Submissions – Young Reader and Middle Aged Picture books or graphic novels.
Fantasy Zines – Vol 1 Astronomica Charity Zine An OC zine with a celestial theme.
The Rumpus – Ongoing Submissions Looking for unpublished comics.
Oh Joy Sex Toy – Creator Owned Comics Original creator owned stories 4-5 pages. Educational, autobiographical, pornographic, review a sex toy, etc. Please review their submission guidelines before you submit.
Bird’s Eye Comics – The Bebop Anthology Is an ongoing comic anthology.
Moom Comics – Open Call Completed Comics They are looking for comic stories of 60 pages or more featuring queer main characters or queer experiences.
Afterlight Comics – Accepting horror comics pitches They are looking for short 22 page stories and limited mini series or OGNs. Creator owned only.
